If the look of this message board has changed dramatically, please don't panic. I am in the process of working towards giving this board some longevity and a stability and financial security it has never had before. It's my goal to ensure that this board will live on and continue to function for all of you long past the time when I will be here to oversee it. In order to reach that goal, it has been necessary for me to make some fairly substantial changes to it, in ways that allow it to work smoothly and well behind the scenes. This means changing the look of the board. The functionality, atmosphere, and caring, sharing tone of the board will not change. It's only the exterior look that is changing.
Please hang in there and bear with me as I continue to renovate the site towards this wonderful goal. It's very possible this new look you have will be the permanent look of the board in a few months. Right now, temporarily, you can still change it back to the look you had before by going into your profile (in the menu on the left) and clicking on the Profile button, then in the TOP menu, highlight Modify Profile, scroll down to Look & Layout, and where it says: Current Theme, change the Click-Safe Pro-SideBar theme to the one you prefer. BUT before you do this, I highly recommend that you give this theme a chance, as it is most likely going to be the one we will be using once all the changes for this message board are in place.
The Main Menu on your left has a little arrow next to it. That arrow should be pointing UP, like this: ^ If it's not, click on it to make it point up. When it's up, your Account Info will show in the menu. This allows you to read the unread posts since your last visit, and show new replies to your posts.
If you find the input box disappearing behind the Main Menu, or the page doesn't all show on your screen, then you need to change your display to a higher number.
To do this on a Mac, go to your Apple Menu to System Preferences. Under Hardware, click on Displays. The resolution you are currently using is highlighted. Change to a larger number until you find the size that makes the board work properly for you. Be SURE that the Show Displays in Menu box is checked at the bottom. This lets the Display icon stay in the menu bar at the top on the right side of your screen. When you are through looking at the message board, just click on that Display icon, click on your preferred resolution size (what you had before) and your screen is back to its normal size. When you want to look at the board again, you can use that same icon to quickly and easily switch between the resolutions.
Edited to add PC info.
, Mindy!.
If you are on a PC, you can hold down the control button and scroll the mouse up or down to quickly change the size. I can see everything perfectly except the typing box directly under Search...but I'd rather have the print remain bigger, so I just click the search button if I need to find something. I can also quickly get the search box if I hit the arrow up next to Main Menu...but then I have to click on it again so I can see my unread posts, etc.
Again, I truly hate it when sites make major changes like this, but it's so important that we get this board to a place where YOU are all protected so that if anything happens to me and I can no longer take care of the site, someone else can easily and quickly take over -- so the board will stay alive and well and will continue to function properly for you.
Thanks for your understanding,

Verla Kay
