You can also promote and/or giveaway books that are not your own. Any post made on the board which is clearly a promotion (anything asking people to vote for, buy, or support a book) which be moved here. If the poster does not have 50+ posts, the thread will be deleted. Although the Blueboards want to support all the authors and illustrators here, it's also a community -- once someone is part of the community and has contributed, that's when these promotional aspects kick in.
