My book trailer may not be as slick and professional-looking as some of the other VERY COOL book trailers I have seen posted on this site, but it was still created with a lot of love. :-)

I'M BORED musical book trailer, inspired by I'M BORED the new picture book:
https://vimeo.com/48053498

My friend Errol Elumir & I co-wrote the song, and his 7-year-old daughter played the little girl. I made the Potato puppet (as you can tell from the video, I am terrible at sewing!!!) and my friend sang the Potato part. Errol put the video together for me -- what a great friend. He's part of the musical geek duo, DebsandErrol.com.

Anyway, this is my FIRST picture book, and I'm pretty excited. It's written by Michael Ian Black, illustrated by me, and published by Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers. Launches Sept.4th, 2012! You can find more info about it: http://debbieohi.com/bored

Love it! It made me laugh ("I think I want some fries!") and want to read the book.

Great job!

*snicker*

that kid is awesome!! what a performer! and, as always, I love the potato!!

It reminds of my husband's mother, she always says to her grandchildren that bored kids are boring kids when they complain about having nothing to do.

Love it! And the book too. We're off to Chile soon... I will endeavour to take a photo of my four-year-old reading the book somewhere there!
Read it and reap.

Thanks so much for all the kind comments about the trailer. :-)

If anyone's curious, Mr. Schu of Mr. Schu Reads talked about the trailer and interviewed Zoe (the little girl in the video) on his blog: http://mrschureads.blogspot.ca/2012/09/the-im-bored-trifecta.html

:-)
