How To Write Good

This set of rules, written by Frank L. Visco, was originally published in the June 1986 edition of Writers' Digest.

It includes such gems as:

Avoid cliches like the plague.
Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are unnecessary.
Foreign words and phrases are not apropos.
Even if a mixed metaphor sings, it should be derailed.
