Update: Is Blogger twitchy? Or is it me? ['Twas me, or rather, my browser]
AnneB:
I sometimes have trouble leaving comments on Blogger. I just tried twice to leave a comment on Ann Stampler's blog to enthuse about her new cover and I couldn't get to a comment box. It showed up when I clicked on the comments, and then blinked out of existence. I was signed into Google at the time, I followed her blog; didn't make any difference.
There is another blog I follow where as soon as I leave the comment, the whole blog disappears. The comment's there if I go back to it again, however. That happened with Mirka Breen's blog now and then, too, although at other times I can sign in with no problem whatsoever. And for other blogs, no problem at all.
I'm wondering if using an older version of Firefox is the problem for newer blogs, but longer-running blogs are still compatible with the old FF.
Tyson McFrost:
If the blog you're trying to comment on isn't finished loading and you attempt to comment, the box can disappear and you'll have to refresh. This is why it is recommended to have very few gadgets on your blog so the loading time isn't long--it can deter viewers. Also, your cache might need cleaning. There are some really helpful downloads that can clean your internet cache and other aspects of your system. My personal favorite is JetClean. http://www.bluesprig.com/jetclean.html
And finally, I think it's time you upgrade to the latest edition of Firefox, if that's the broswer you're using. Blogger routinely upgrades their platform so you'll need a broswer that can keep up with those advancements.
Hope this helps.
Kimberly Lynn:
Hhmmmm...
I've been having trouble with Blogger too. Leaving comments on some blogs are impossible no matter how long I let it load. Also, Blogger changed is format on composing blog posts and it's been a nightmare. Line spacing and centering pictures is c-r-a-z-y!
:crazy :banghead
I may have an older version of Firefox, though. I'll get my husband to check. Good luck, Anne. I totally understand the aggravation. Thanks, Tyson!

Though this doesn't sound exactly like the problem I had, I wasn't able to comment on certain blogs for a while, and there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as far as which ones. Then I got a tip from RuthD -- be sure you're not permanently signed in to Google. If you have the "keep me signed in" box checked, uncheck it. It's worth the minor pain to have to sign in each time, IMO.
AnneB:
Tyson, I can't upgrade since my OS is so old FF doesn't support it. I'm be changing computers soon and after I get my files transferred, then I'll try moving from Tiger to Snow Leopard on the old laptop. I was going to bite this spring, but then I had a couple of big freelance assignments and didn't want to change OS at the same time. Now it makes sense to wait a fw months while Mountain Lion gets rid of its first batch of fleas.
Marcia -- I bet the permanent sign-in is the answer. I was locked out of your blog for a while too. I need to be signed in a lot for my day job, but
