It looks great, Emily! I have to say I was a huge fan of the original title as well.

I love the old title, too. And yet, I love the new title, too. : )

It's all coming together beautifully. It's just such an amazing feeling, watching all the steps in the process, and beyond, all the way back to the query stage, add up to the here and now. : )

Really nice! I prefer the yellow lettering of your name after the title, too. The pink didn't seem to go with the provocative nature of the photo and forest. Congratulations!

The old title is definitely more quirky and fun-sounding, but it would never go with this this cover. The new title goes much better. I think the new title was a wise choice. Because the overall package is absolutely striking!

I agree that the "whole package" -- story, title and cover -- really came together, nicely! And, I saw the ARC -- my pub sent me a picture of the book lying open with the back and front cover showing, and it is *glorious*.

They all did a wonderful job. You can see the pub loves it as much as I do. It's a lovely feeling. : )

ARCs come out in August ... gulp.

What a travesty it would be to lose your title, Tracy. I LOVE it! So lyrical, evocative and ORIGINAL.

I do hope, if you have to change the title, you love the new one. My advice would be to be as involved as you can in brainstorming alternatives.

Don't be shy about offering up new suggestions. And, although it's sad to have to change a title you love, it's really about marketing and the pub wanting your book to do its absolute best.

I just wanted to add, for those still in the trenches, who read my story on PubCrawl and end up feeling sad or so far removed from your eventual success:

I had a previous agent that was a bad fit, and a ms on sub for ten months, prior to IYFM, that didn't sell.

So, don't give up. And I mean that literally, all cheerleading aside. I know the agony. I know how tough it is. But, you never know what's just around the bend, as long as you keep pushing forward. : )
