I don't know too much about wine-and-food pairings, but I do know about book pairings. For the next few months (or maybe forever if it proves popular) I'll be giving away two books a month on my blog. One will be by me, and the other will be a book that relates to it in some way.

For July, I'm giving away Ladies in Waiting, and FOREVER AMBER by Kathleen Winsor. Forever Amber is my secret vice, my comfort book, and what got me hooked on Restoration England in the first place. It's kind of trashy, but it is satisfying, meaty, well-researched trash. Ladies in Waiting and Forever Amber share a 1660s setting and are both quite risque.
