Eating Crow

Jaina:
Agree.  My 12 year old wouldn't be able to tell you what this meant, I'm sure, but the reason I DID know stuff like that as a kid was that I read so many gosh darn books and gathered the meaning through exposure.

wolfie712:
Yes, what they all said.  Even though my kids don't know that phrase, what better place to learn it than in a book? :)

MysteryRobin:
I think my kids do, but again, it's in a song by the The Band Perry that plays a lot here...
Side note... there's a Christmas kid song by Brad Paisley about a penguin that they love. He rhymes "cufflinks" with "satellite uplinks" and they asked me what cufflinks were, but they knew all about the other. ;)
Kids know weird stuff. And they don't know normal stuff... I think it's ok to teach them about it in a book, too!

AdamV:
My 7 month old doesn't know what eating crow means, but if she could get her hands on a crow, she'd definitely try to put it in her mouth.

My kids know what it means b/c of the Band Perry Song, too. I like how she uses it in the song. Brilliant!
