Oh, Vonna, what a nice trip!  We've been a couple of times and it's so beautiful and relaxing there.  We all need a break from life sometimes.

Late start today...coffee's almost ready. I realized yesterday I have to do a massive change in my MG because there was one major thread about which I kept thinking - it's really exciting, but is it reasonable? and I finally decided no.

Changes the whole ending.

sigh. I will do this...

I think I joined before my brain woke up, but I'm joining again. . . just in case. Did my early morning gig . . . 500 words! Some even make sense.

So, so tired tonight. It's way early for bed, but this just means that tomorrow's "early rising" will be REALLY early! :moose

It's just before 8a.m here and I've got a few ideas swirling around. But all I can hear is traffic and it's distracting. I'll probably get it written mid-afternoon. What category does that fit into?

Woke up at 2:30 a.m. with a splitting headache. Got up and took something for it, but couldn't get back to sleep. So, I've been :typing away on my revisions. Amazing what you can get done at 3 in the morning! I hope I survive the day at work. It's still only 4:44 a.m. - back to the manuscript! :writing

Julia, sorry about your headache.  When I get a migraine, it usually awakens me around 3am. I take Maaxalt Fast Melts (prescription), and it really helps. I believe that biorhythms change at that time of day. Hope your path is smoother today.
Thundering Elephants, may your ideas continue to swirl!
I'm about to launch my morning walk with a 77 degree temp.  Ahhh....so I will only sweat one bucket today!

Hope everyone has a great day - writing and otherwise! :moose

Julia, I hope you feel better. I'm amazed you can do any work with a throbbing headache.

Met with my crit group last night and they totally agreed with what I have to change.

Time to get working...

JFriday - I didn't get any writing done until the headache was down to a dull ache (about 1/2 hour after the BC powder) - I'm a weenie when it comes to pain!

I was up at the proverbial [rear end] crack of dawn and got a lot of revising done on my first chapter! Now to kick it into high gear and get the other 38 chapters done!

Working on my current WIP, checking my email for when I last sent out queries and throwing around some ideas for my next work.  For me the very funnest part of writing is that pre and early stage of writing when the story and characters are full of possibilities and you are just bursting with ideas, jotting down this and that.
Hoping the night goes like this  :revising:
My kid was up chatting until about 12:38, well he was in bed but wouldn't stop talking, let me say my 6 year old  :slaphead:
But I feel guilt because ya'll see me up on the boards often writing until 3 or 4 at night whereas his Dad, no kidding, is sound asleep at 9 pm so uh who do you think he gets his insomnia from?
Well, to work.

Oh, wow, there's a club for this? Count me in! I've been waking up at the crack of dawn for a while. It's getting the motivation to use that time to write and not goof around on the interwebs that's killing me.

My time in the morning varies depending on when my little guy wakes up. Sometimes I'll have until 7:30am to myself, other times he's up at 6am. We're moving to a big kid bed soon, so I'm hoping that means he'll be able to play independently for at least a few minutes after he wakes up instead of the current, "Mama! Mama, up! Mama, oatmeal!" demands I get now. (I mean, sheesh, give me a sec to make the oatmeal, ya know?) ^_^

My second-biggest challenge (next to the internet): getting his lunch ready the night before. That's half an hour of my morning time gone if I don't.

Sadly, coffee is not an option in the morning. Second baby on the way. (That's not sad at all, but the lack of coffee is a sad side effect.)

Anyway, off to use whatever time I've got.

Welcome, Katrina! I went 7 years without coffee because I was pregnant or nursing the entire time, so you will survive!

Julia, hope that blasted headache is a memory now. Majanecka, have fun with the possibilities!

Back to work...

Wow, 7 years? You're amazing. My biggest problem is, dang it, I actually love the taste. (If you told that to my high school self, she'd think you were nuts.)

Well, I overslept this morning, so that should keep me awake. Might not get much writing in, though... and only two more chapters to edit in this latest draft too.

Got up at 5:45 a.m. - fed the cats & dog, got the tea made, and read them my revised 1st chapter (tweaking along the way) - I think they liked it as much as I do! I've sent it off to my crit partners for their review. Heading off to the day job - it should be quiet today, so I might be able to work on chapter 2 while I'm there!

Hope everyone gets/got off to a good start this morning! It's nearly Saturday! 2 whole days of writing time! YAY! :moose

Katrina, I was a non-coffee drinker until I met my husband, and now I totally love my morning joe .
I've been up since 4:30....working on a devotion series and skit for an online publisher.
Thunder is exploding!  Storms are in the area with much needed rain, but with the rain will come more mosquitoes. We are in a West Nile Virus warning area. The trucks will be spraying after the rain dissipates.  Then I will take a break, coat myself with Off, and go for a walk. Yuck.

It was a golden day. Brynnie is hitting milestones...trying to turn over...vocalizing like she's talking...and shaking a rattle. Good times!

Well, scribblegirl - while your little one was hitting those milestones - my manuscript was trying to be more well-written, dialogue improved upon, and shaking up the characters in more ways than one! It was a good day here, too! :typing

Julia, glad your captive audience was so responsive. It's 830 a.m here and I'm away for the weekend with relatives. But I've had brainstorming ideas which I've had log in a message in my phone. The only time I don't bring paper.

*sighs* I'm up way earlier than I should be this morning. It's like my body tricks itself into thinking 6 hours is enough sleep. (I guess for some it might be, but not so much when I'm sleeping for two.)

Good news is I'm past all the hard edits in this draft. Today, I'm just doing a general read-through to pacify myself that I don't have any glaring errors before sending it off to betas.

(After that, I don't know what I'll do with myself in the morning.)
