Truck Bedtime Drawing Contest
SYoon:
Sounds like a fun contest, Brianna! I'll let my little guys know about it. We'd love that book!
Dani Duck:
I'll tweet and Facebook it too!
Brianna:
Thanks so much, guys!
Salina-- Hope your little guys send in some drawings!
Dani Duck-- Thanks so much for sharing on Facebook and Twitter!
Can't wait to see the drawings!
SYoon:
YAY... my son entered! :artist1: He had so much fun with it, too. (he drew a monster truck having a dream about crushing cars) I love watching his imagination go.
Brianna, since your book is releasing this month, have you considered doing a Goodreads Giveaway? While I have no idea if this helps with sales, it undoubtedly helps to share your book. My book has only gotten about 280 entries for the giveaway, but others have received hundreds more. A colleague of mine did a giveaway with her picture book and she got over a thousand entries. All it takes is a book (or two) that you're willing to give away, and it's free to set up. Just to go Goodreads.com and they have instructions on how to set it up, if you want to. Our own Serrenissima (for NERVE), Danette (The Trouble with Half a Moon), and KatyD (California History for Kids) are all doing it with me right now! (not together, but we all have a giveaway going on Goodreads)
Best of luck with the launch!!
Brianna:
Thanks so much, Salina! Your son's entry is so awesome (and it made me soooo happy to see the very first entry in my inbox)!
And thanks so much for the suggestion about a Goodreads Giveaway! I would love to do one! (And my author copies should be arriving any day now, so I will actually have the book to give away. Yay! :o) )
A question I'm wondering: Do you think it makes sense to do a lot of giveaways at once, or should I stagger them a bit? (I guess I feel like I'm pointing people in a lot of different directions if I'm doing a drawing contest and an online book launch and a Goodreads giveaway all at the same time. Or do I bring in so many new potential readers with the Goodreads audience that it makes sense? Hope this makes sense! Any feedback gratefully appreciated. :) )
