smilies are little Xs on my screen

Greetings!

For some reason, and I'm sure it is some sort of setting on my browser, the smilies are just little Xs with a word next to it (in Windows Explorer), or are little Microsoft windows (browsing with Google Chrome). Any suggestions as to why and how to fix it?

The entire board is having issues at the moment, Dionna. I doubt seriously if it's on your end! Please hang tight until we get the new upgraded version of the board installed. Hopefully that will fix a multitude of problems we are having with the board right now.

Are the smilies up and running now that the new (MOST-BEAUTIFUL) board is up? Still not seeing but nine of them. :(

Dionna, you might want to check your profile settings to make sure you have "show smilies" picked. It's all I can think of!

Artemesia:
If you go to look and layout in your profile settings, the smiley settings are there. I think Board Default is probably what you want.
