I just got my acceptance also. (I live about an hour from Rutgers, though, so I probably got it sooner than some might).

This will be my first time, since our son's college parent's weekend has been the same weekend every year, so I didn't apply for several years.

Does anyone know how competitive it is to get accepted to Rutgers? (i.e. how many applicants there are?) And is the benefit worth the travel and expense?

Hi all,

I'd be happy to make a dinner reservation somewhere for Friday night. Last year, the restaurant at the Hilton let us have a semi-private room for the entire evening, and everyone just dropped in whenever they got to town. It was fun!

Should I check into it? Or does anyone have another idea?

Talked to the Hilton folks...looks like the conference is a short cab ride away.
I booked my room. Looking forward to meeting Blueboarders for dinner Friday night.
Now off to search for flights. Anyone else flying from Ohio?

Awesome! I'm at the Hilton, too. I took a cab to the conference last year, and it was nice and easy. (The front desk can arrange it ahead of time.)

I'll call the restaurant later this week. Let's get a list of people who would like to join us. I'll put us both down, and I know of a couple others, too...
