A gentle reminder

The Blueboards are a place for writers and illustrators of all backgrounds to come together and find information and support.  Because we all hail from different backgrounds and beliefs, we've found it's best to avoid certain topics of discussion, like politics and religion.  Verla's rules state:

No political talk. 
There are many, MANY places on the web where you can go to discuss politics. This board is a "political-free zone" and will not tolerate political messages of any kind.  The only exceptions to this rule are specific issues that have a direct bearing on the business of children's books. Again, we discuss those ISSUES, but NOT the politicians and/or people behind the issues.

No religious discussions. 
It's okay to discuss issues that pertain to writing for religious markets, but it is NOT okay to talk about the theology behind religions, or to compare religious beliefs, etc. on this message board.

But even more important is this: Before you post any message, stop and read through it one last time. Will it make someone feel bad? If so, DON'T POST IT.

Many members like to ask for prayers or positive thoughts for family or friends in difficult situations...and while that's an acceptable thing to do in this community, please show some sensitivity in the form your requests or responses to these posts take, as not all members might share your belief system.

Thank you for keeping the Blueboards a comfortable place for everyone.

Thanks for the reminder, Marissa. It's a great thing when all of us, from so many different walks of life and beliefs can share and enjoy each other without stress or problems. Thank you for "playing nice," everyone. :verla
