(And if I lived there, that chandelier wouldn't look nearly as sparkly; it would more likely be--as we say--still decorated for Halloween.)

Ha! That's what you think, Anne. I haven't dusted that chandelier but ONE TIME (about a year ago) since we put it up. Those are real Strauss crystals in it... and a big benefit of buying the real (albeit more expensive) crystals is that they actually REPEL dust. I never knew that until I got it up, but it made me so very happy that I'd bought the real thing and not settled for the less expensive man-made crystals (they look almost identical to the real ones) because they do NOT repel dust. Ha! For once my expensive taste paid off. :moose

But do they repel SPIDERS?

217mom:
Beautiful, Verla.

SYoon:
Real crystals repel dust?!?  Can I build a house made entirely out of crystal?  Crystal floors, crystal tables, crystal shelves, crystal shutters....

I wonder what the dust would do then?.. probably find the nearest house made of wood!

Verla Kay:
:lmao  AnneB and SYoon, you are both too funny!

I don't know if the real crystals repel spiders or not, but they sure do look beautiful. And somehow, a house made entirely of crystal doesn't sound too cozy or comfortable to me.... Not to mention how it would scare off all my neighbors. I mean, I'm not the cute young thing anymore that I was when I was in my 20's.  :dr :dr :dr
