Surrey International Writers' Conference 2010 Writing Contest

I came across this contest this morning in my Googling journeys. I'm curious about both the contest and the conference. Has anybody here submitted a story to this contest in past years? (Link below.) Thanks in advance!

The deadline for the contest is September 10, 2010. The "Young People" category calls for short stories up to 1500 words.

I haven't subbed to this contest, but I can assure you it's legit. The SiWC conference organizer is a friend of mine (she actually just handed over the reigns to someone new), and I've attended and spoken at SiWC. It's a large conference (600+ attendees) mainly focused on adult writing, but they usually bring in a few children's/YA authors, and a children's/YA agent & editor or two to conduct workshops.
