Yanno, I had a pretty good request rate (just over 50%) with queries to agents that were very targeted, but once they got my chapters, it was a big no thank you. I ended up overhauling the ms before I queried the agent who now represents me. And then our first sale was Escaping The Tiger, not the ms I got signed on. That one is still in revision...again...and hopefully not forever.
