Finding my way around...

« on: February 08, 2009, 06:39 PM »

Cynthea's debut novel, The Great Call of China, is coming out February 19! Woo-hoo!

Could you help me give back to Cynthea?

Cynthea has given out dozens of free-tiques, created the http://www.AuthorsNOW.com website to feature debut authors, and she has an awesome website and book Writing for Children and Teens. She is one of the most givingest people in the children's writing community!

I'm planning a debut party for The Great Call of China on my blog where Cynthea will be interviewed. But I'd like YOU to submit questions for her.

So please, send me a fun, interesting, amazing question, about Cynthea's career, her books, her bunny Snoop...  She'll reply and I'll post the interview on the day of her book release.

And maybe you, too, could devote your blog to The Great Call of China on the 19th.

Anyone in? Please email me at tarawrites at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

O.M.G., Tara. You're gonna make me cry. This has to be the sweetest thing I have ever seen anyone write on my behalf.

*sniffle, sniffle, a tear escapes my eye*

Can I, like ... frame this?  Get Snoop to hang it up in his office?

Thank you, thank you!

I look forward to the interview. And the celebration of my first book!

Feel free to ask Tara anything you want! No holds barred, people.

And yeah, if you want to celebrate on your blog, too. go right ahead. Let Snoop know and he'll pop by and do the celebrity wave.

If you want to do an interview or have Snoop conga-dance on your blog, too, just ask.  He LOVES publicity!

I don't have a blog, but I'll gladly post the news on my website. I love the Snoop and of course Cynthea. As a free-tique-ee alumnus, it's the least I could do.

Great! Let the questions rip! Send 'em to me at tarawrites at yahoo dot com.

And I'll be sure to remind everyone to post about the book on the 19th. Let's see if we can give her a "spike" day on Amazon.

And Tara, reminders before the nineteenth is a good idea. While I won't forget to post about The Great Call of China, it's quite possible I won't notice the date as it rolls around.

Hey everyone, Cynthea is generously giving away mini goodie bags to everyone who "attends" the virtual book release party on Thursday!

Plus, everyone will also get a "Teeny-Tique" critique.

Teeny-Tique details will be posted the day of the party!

See you then!

Yay! Miss Cynthia! OMG your articles on writing a synopsis has been a life saver for me. I never knew the ins and outs of it all too well--but thanks to you now I do! I'll try my best to get a hold of your book on Ebay and you can definitely count me as a fan. You ROCK MISS CYNTHIA, now I gotta go and think up a question.
