Favorite African-American illustrators

(1/7) > >>

KDBrazil:
I'm not sure where to post this, but I'd love to know who your favorite African-American illustrators are. Of course, Kadir Nelson and E.B. Lewis are on my radar already but if you have other favorites or know of any up-and-comers, I'd love to hear about them.

Anne Marie:
Floyd Cooper, Sean Qualls, Nicole Tadgell . . .

KDBrazil:
Oh, I love Sean Qualls too. I forgot about him. His style is different from what I was looking for but awesome nonetheless.

graywolf:
I have to give a plug for Colin Bootman, who's beautifully illustrating my forthcoming picture book "Finding Lincoln" for Albert Whitman this fall.  Look for his books!

Barbara Eveleth:
E.B. Lewis is presenting at our NJ Annual in early June.
