DonnaM, that's how I feel about FB--my worlds are all colliding, and it's weird. High school, church, college, writing, Chile, Germany friends, all there together, and many of them clueless as to what I'm talking about because they didn't know about that side of me.
So, I figured out how to turn off all the games updates from people so I can just see "real" posts. And I understand theoretically that I can form groups and just post certain things to certain people (frex pictures of family that I might want to show some people I in real life know, but maybe not open up to every person on the internet). But is there a way to check FB and be anonymous? One of the huge things that makes me hide from FB is that it seems every time I get on it, people see I'm there and want to chat. Um, I have nothing against talking to people, please don't take this personally! But usually when I'm on the internet it's because I'm simultaneously holding a baby and can't do anything else (include chat). And um, I do have a life and a lot of things to do, and I don't have time to talk about voting for someone's digital pet or whatever. So, is there a way for me to hide the fact that I'm logged onto FB? Or will I have to continue to sneak in at odd times to check it?
