What do you think of when you think of an Author Visit? Dry, dull facts? Squirming, whispering kids? Not with Verla Kay! A dynamic, active presentation with lots of excitement and fun is what you will get when you invite Verla to come and share herself with your students.
Verla has worked extensively with children, as a paid Teacher's Aide in the classroom, as Den Leader and Cubmaster of Cub Scouts, as a Sunday School Teacher and as a Licensed Daycare Provider. She is a volunteer at her local library for Story Hour and loves working with children of all ages.
Verla gives a dynamic, exciting presentation, allowing children a look behind the scenes of a working author. How a book is conceived and written, what happens inside publishing houses and how to get started as an author are just some of the things that Verla will share with your students.
